Kim Sun-Young hair salon was started in 1956 in the center of Seoul city, Myeong-Dong ( 명동 ) with only three members. At that time, kneaded coal briquet ( 연탄 ) was used to heat up the curling iron. Our founder Kim Sun-Young devotionally shared her skills and ideas with other hairstylists who want to learn through KSY educational schooling. For this reason, the number of hairstylists and staff became 400 at two different buildings in Myeong-Dong located in the center of Seoul for leading Korean fashion. . After diligently trying to learn new hairstyles by visiting famous hair expos in Paris and Los Angeles, she adapted world hairstyle trends to improve Korean-style perms and colors. Her continuous effort eventually made colleagues located worldwide salons in Los Angeles, Australia, New York, Chicago, etc.
