Our History
Kim Sun Young beauty salon was opened in 1956 in the center of Seoul, Korea with only three members. At that time, kneaded coal briquet was used to heat up the curling iron. Our founder Kim Sun-Young devotionally shared her skills and ideas with other hairstylists who want to learn through KSY education system.

Did you know that KSY started the idea of the straight perm? Our founder Kim Sun Young invented the first straight perm in the world. She used flat plastic panels to hold the hair while special ingredients were applied to achieve the ideal straightened hairstyle called 'Panel Straight'.
